Sheets - Cabinet Making
We stock Ply, Particle Board and MDF in a full range of grades and sizes suitable for cabinet making. MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) can give a near perfect finish, over which to apply paint or stains, and thus is ideal for minimalist or contemporary look furniture.
Where it is used as a cost effective alternative to solid timber which is to have a painted finish, our pine mouldings can be applied to impart a natural look to the cabinet.
Similarly, we can provide colour compatible MDF for polishing to "Bakelite" look finish. Where staining or a clear finish is desired, in a timber look, clear grade pine is ideal and presents us with no problems.
Where the cost advantages and the ability to supply a perfectly flat panel of a sheet product is desired, but a "real" timber look is essential, we can offer a large range of veneered board product. The real timber veneers are factory applied over either particle board or MDF, in either normal or HMR (high moisture resistant) grades, and pre-sanded.
In addition to normal pine clears or knotty pine veneers, we also offer an extensive range of other timbers.
